Self Contained Wood Manor
A normal modular home has a 2x10 floor joists. The furnace and water heater usually go in the basement. The furnace, heat ducts and air exchange system are installed in the basement for an average price of $8500 by a local heating company. The waterlines and sewer pipes from the main floor are stubbed down through the floor and must be connected by a local plumber to the water heater and drain system for an average price of $6,500. This adds about $15,000.00 to the price of the home.
Skyline home’s offers a "self contained option" in their modular homes. Self contained option includes - High efficiency furnace, heat ducks, water heater and water lines all installed by the factory for an average price of $4,500.00 for a savings of over $10,000.00 to the customer.
